Goodness gardens
About us
A little dirt never hurts
Goodness gardens is a gardening project founded in 2019 proposed to seniors in care homes around the city of Paris. We believe gardening is a sustainable hobby which increases satisfaction and mitigates feelings of loneliness and depression. This project aims at giving a feeling of accomplishment after planting fruits or vegetables and decreasing the stress of the older generation. We intend to organize regular gardening events all around Paris in collaboration with local plant shops, care houses, hospitals, etc.

A gardening we grow
Building communities
Gardening helps social interaction and gives the sense belonging to a community. Indeed gardeners share their knowledge, skills and experiences with each other, and in doing so develop human relationships and support networks. This will enable seniors to benefit from strong social networks in care homes, improving their satisfaction, stress and physical health.
Improving food quality
All year long, seniors will be provided with fresh, organic fruits and vegetables they will have cultivated with their own hands. Food quality and security are important issues which play a role in reducing risks of depression, notably among the elderly.
